What is your title? Describe what you do.
I am the Clinic Operations Manager at our Wilmington NC clinic. In this role I am responsible for overseeing all non-clinical operations of the Wilmington clinic to ensure it is an efficient, safe and organized environment not only for our clients and families but for our staff as well. I also manage our administrative and front desk, coordinate building and facility operations and support the onboarding and integration of new team members. In other words I do whatever I can to help our clinic run smoothly.
“Taking our clients’ holiday pictures has been my favorite memory so far. As a COM, I don’t always get to spend much time with our clients, so capturing these moments for their families was truly special. Their smiles reminded me why I love what I do.”
I came to Behavioral Framework as a behavior technician. I was drawn to the company because of our mission and values. I always wanted to make an impact on people’s lives and being a behavior technician was exactly what I was looking for at the time. Throughout my four years as a behavior technician and CSS I was able to see first hand the impact that ABA has on our clients lives and just how important our work is. Now four years later I get to continue helping fulfill this mission we have in a new role that I love.
What’s your favorite memory or team moment so far?
My favorite memory so far in this new role has been taking our clients holiday pictures. As a COM I don’t always get to spend a lot of time with our clients which is new for me. Having the opportunity to capture these memories for our clients’ families while spending time with these incredible kiddos has been the best moment of being a COM thus far. Seeing them be happy and smiling not only melted my heart every second but reminded me exactly why I am so happy to do what I do and why I do it.
What’s the most impactful part of your work for you personally?
The most impactful part of my job is the difference I make for our staff. In this position I am able to support the clients we serve by ensuring that our staff have everything they need to perform their best. When our staff feel great about where they work then they can give their best to the clients and families we serve. So seeing where they need support or finding a need that I can help fill and being able to do that and see how it makes an impact for the better, that’s the best part of what I do.
What preparation or mindset is most helpful for someone starting this job?
Remembering your why will always be the best mindset for someone not just in this role but in this field. Everything we do, even the things that seem small, have an impact on people’s lives. Remembering why you wanted to be where you are in the first place will ensure you keep the same fire and motivation that got you started.
Would you advise someone to pursue a job at Behavioral Framework? Why do you think they’d enjoy it?
Yes 100%. What we do has a purpose and meaning. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing the fruit of your work and you can do exactly that here at Behavioral Framework. In any role that you decide to serve in you will see the importance of what you do.
